So this is the story of DJ Flow. Growing up in the Bronx as a teenager in the late 90’s, Eddie Fonseca was a normal kid who had a thing for music. He would always listen to the latest tracks and follow the DJs that were popular at the moment. Little by little he became curious on how these DJs do what he heard. He already had a pair of Technics 1200 Turntables, which were passed down from the family, along with an extensive collection of Old School Hip Hop and Freestyle records. However DJ Flow saw the need to get his first professional dual CD player (CDN-24) later that year. This will allow him to get a feel of the Latin crowd with all of his Spanish music collection. From that point on, DJ Flow made a real effort to become the best DJ he could be.
DJ Flow’s first real break occurred early in January 2001, where he was the main DJ at a college party held at his own campus, Saint John‘s University. From this point on, DJ Flow got the recognition as a true party DJ and received countless events from that point on. As a result DJ Flow has appeared in many other college campuses and of course Clubs and Lounges. One of his highlights was going oversees and performing in his native Ecuador in 2008, which gave him a feel of international crowds.
DJ Flow’s overall style can separate him from the many disc jockeys in the game. As a Latin DJ not only can he make a perfect blend but can else get down scratching on the tables with different genres of music. These include anything from House, Hip Hop, RnB, Top 40, Reggae and of course Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Reggaeton. Recently Video Mixing is something DJ Flow has become really interested in. So stay tuned for this.
Broadcasting Live on La Kalle 105.9 FM (2009) has also been a highlight for DJ Flow. It allowed many listeners of the Tri-State Area to experience the style DJ Flow has to offer. DJ Flow is now part of the well-known LoMaximoProductions.com Latin Music Website. He has taken this opportunity to strengthen his skills as a DJ. You can catch him on LMPRADIO.com (LatinMixx 2009 Best Online Radio Station Winner) each and every Wednesday from 8 to 11 PM.
